Before anything, I'd like to say that even though this blog is written in English, I recommend you to do as I did and read the books I criticise in their original language (if you can). This way you'll like them much more and you'll find astute word games and double meanings which will help you read the book in all of its potential.

Blood Ties and Blood Ransom - Sophie McKenzie

Criticism:

These two books are absolutely beautiful and complete, if not a bit naîve. They are described for the reader to feel, while he/she reads, the the thoughts that are written as their own. Each detail of what is in the characters' head is written in these books and, as they are written from the point of view of two different people, the reader is capable of feeling comfortable in the relationships and understanding each thought as if their own head had created it. They are books with a very quick pace, mostly the second one, and that are very difficult to stop reading once they've been started. I'd recommend them to everyone but mostly to young girls; especially to people that have liked authors like N.M. Browne or Anne Cassidy; but I must say that this series is more intense than the books written by those authors.
