Before anything, I'd like to say that even though this blog is written in English, I recommend you to do as I did and read the books I criticise in their original language (if you can). This way you'll like them much more and you'll find astute word games and double meanings which will help you read the book in all of its potential.

Three Steps Over Heaven and I Want You - Federico Moccia

Criticism:

The first book, Three Steps Over Heaven, isn't very exciting and it is quite fantastical. It grabs you and in the end starts to convince you, but not in the same way as I Want You. It is extremely exciting and, although sometimes, mostly in the beginning, it may seem quite frustrating and the reader may want to stop reading it (that happened to me), it is worth finishing and discovering the main character's new way of seeing things. It is more realistic and less dreamlike, and it grabs you a lot. One of the improvements that it has towards Three Steps Over Heaven is that the main characters are more realistic and less perfect (which makes them more beleivable). Anyway, they are both very good and worth reading even if you've already seen their films.
