Before anything, I'd like to say that even though this blog is written in English, I recommend you to do as I did and read the books I criticise in their original language (if you can). This way you'll like them much more and you'll find astute word games and double meanings which will help you read the book in all of its potential.

Old Magick - Marianne Curley

Criticism:

I read this book immediately after finishing the Guardians of Time trilogy, hoping that as it is written by the same author I would like it as much; but I have to say that I was wrong. I liked it but it didn't have anything special or original. This book is a bit dull and slow, and the story isn't as original or well written as that of the collection. However, this book is pretty and is good for a more calm and less exciting reading. Lets say that for a person's reading scope it serves as the water in a meal; it doesn't give the best flavour but it has the essencial nutrients; and it is used to soften and have while you listen to someone talk. It hasn't got anything special, and that's why I recommend it but not with as much enthusiasm as I do other books.
